Observations On The Client-Agency Relationship
For all the talk of change within the advertising industry, too many agencies continue to operate under an outdated model that ignores real client needs and the realities of the vendor marketplace. Jim Weber, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Comerica, Inc. will bring his unique perspective as a one-time agency creative turned CMO to the timely topic of the client-agency relationship. He will discuss the honest truths about agency cultures that every client-side marketer needs to know, while pointing out to those same marketers the need for trust, support and accountability when it comes to their agency partners. Jim will map out a vision for client-agency collaboration that can be both creatively rewarding for agencies and drive increased shareholder value for their clients.
Emcee: Tom Dennis, Immediate Past President of DFW AMA, AMA Chapter Volunteer of the Year, and Marketing Director at Blanks Printing & Imaging

The Brehms Band
After collaborating professionally in the Dallas jazz scene for many years, David and Stephanie began working on their own original material. Their collaboration lead to an album of Jazz infused tunes, as well as a trip to the altar. It was a good year. Many fans have commented that The Brehms Band is a perfect compliment to a romantic evening of wine and roses, and yet, in a flash, they will have you on your feet, ready to get down with one of their surfer rock tunes or salsa standards. Vocalist STEPHANIE YOUNG BREHM has been performing professionally for years as a singer and Anime voice-over actress. Her singing voice can also be heard on tracks for anime shows such as Dragon Ball Z and Negima. With a smooth and sultry style, Stephanie brings a feminine and honest approach to her music. The Dallas Morning News commented that she was “one of the sexiest performers in Dallas.” Her sound is often compared to Julie London, with a hint of a Jack Johnson vibe. Growing up in San Antonio, DAVID L. BREHM developed an appreciation for guitar driven music while listening to the likes of George Benson, Carlos Santana, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He studied jazz guitar at the University of North Texas and learned enough notes to compose a few of his own. The Brehms Band grooves with a rockin’ group of outstanding musicians who always bring the house down. With a clear passion for their craft, THE BREHMS BAND delivers back-beat grooves combined with elegance, sophistication, and charm. The Brehm’s Band is based in Dallas, TX.
